Alpha Omega Red Wine – 97 Points

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

“You’re never fully dressed without a smile” or in this case, without a glass of Alpha Omega Red Wine in your hand! 😉 Now I’m not going to lie I’m a big fan of red blends because of how EASY it is to enjoy a bottle with friends + family and even WITHOUT….food. 🍇🍷

Pro-tip (for beginners): Red blends tend to have less tannins than a Cabernet Sauvignon and therefore feel lighter-bodied and easy-going to drink. 👍 Read below for my tasting notes:

  1. Vintage: 2017

  2. Alcohol percentage: 14.5%

  3. Appellation: Rutherford, CA

  4. Blend: 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot

  5. Nose: medium intensity, with secondary aromas.

  6. Sweetness: dry

  7. Aromas: black cherries, caramel candy and cinnamon sticks.

  8. Flavors: silky entrance, balanced, strawberry, and cocoa powder.

  9. Conclusion: good wine

  10. Price: $106

Conclusion: this wine is awesome and if you love a good red blend (balanced, silky, fruit-forward) you’re going to LOVE it. You can purchase this wine online here, and have it shipped or if you are local you can also pick it up. Enjoy!

Wine Rating: 97 Points

*Any wines rated 90 points or more, I recommend. Wines rated 89 points or below means it’s an acceptable wine, but I wouldn’t spend your money on it.*
