La Ferme Julien Rosé – 96 Points
Updated: Jun 22, 2021
La Ferme Julien, or what some might call, “the goat wine from Trader Joe’s.” After tasting this wine, I declare this is the Coors Light of rosés… in a good way! Why? Because of its crisp and refreshing taste while remaining balanced and its light-bodied profile. This wine is sold exclusively at Trader Joe’s and only costs $5.99! It really took me by surprise and I’m happy to share my tasting notes below:
Vintage: 2019
Alcohol percentage: 13%
Appellation: South of France
Appearance: pale intensity, pink in color.
Nose: light intensity, with primary aromas.
Sweetness: dry
Aromas and flavors: strawberry and floral aromas; flavors of strawberry with a mineral/tart finish.
Conclusion: good wine
Price: $5.99
Food Recommendation: grilled meats, or a beat salad. Also recommended drinking on its own.
Conclusion: This wine is a definite porch pounder with its refreshing and bright taste.
Bonus Tip: check out my YouTube video reviewing this wine “live” here.
Wine Rating: 96 points
*Any wines rated 90 points or more, I recommend. Wines rated 89 points or below means it’s an acceptable wine, but I wouldn’t spend your money on it.*
