Rombauer Sauvignon Blanc – 90 Points

Updated: Jun 22, 2021

Rombauer Vineyards is a classic Napa Valley winery. Most people know the brand for their buttery, savory Chardonnay. I love their Chardonnay, it was definitely my first favorite wine when I began my journey. Now, I prefer less buttery styled Chardonnay’s but it’s still a classic gem. This review is not for the popular Chardonnay however, it is for their Sauvignon Blanc. Read below for my tasting notes:

  1. Vintage: 2019

  2. Alcohol percentage: 14.2%

  3. Appellation: Napa Valley and Sonoma County

  4. Appearance: pale intensity, lemon in color.

  5. Sweetness: off-dry

  6. Aromas: lime, grapefruit, and fresh-cut grass.

  7. Flavors: grapefruit, key lime (will leave your mouth watery); lots of acidity making this wine enticing and fresh

  8. Conclusion: good wine

  9. Price: $24

Conclusion: I highly recommend drinking this wine chilled, as it warms up the flavors become more prominent. If you love tropical style Sauvignon Blanc’s then you’ll love this wine. You can purchase it online, here or any major retailer/grocery store.

Wine Rating: 90 Points

*Any wines rated 90 points or more, I recommend. Wines rated 89 points or below means it’s an acceptable wine, but I wouldn’t spend your money on it.*

At the Rombauer Property filming content for their virtual events happening later this fall.
