Talbott Pinot Noir – 94 points
Updated: Jun 22, 2021
The definition of treat yo’ self is what’s inside of this glass I’m holding. It’s a super fruity and soft Pinot Noir I had a couple of weeks back after my spin class with my friend Mario. Oh the oxymoron! This was the perfect splash after an awesome class and before dinner because of how light bodied and delicious it tasted. See below for my tasting notes:
Vintage: 2014
Alcohol percentage: 14.5%
Appellation: Santa Lucia Highlands
Blend: 100% estate-grown Pinot Noir
Nose: medium intensity, with secondary aromas.
Sweetness: off-dry
Aromas: black cherries, vanilla, nutmeg.
Flavors: raspberry and plum. Soft with velvety tannins.
Conclusion: good wine
Price: $42
Conclusion: if you like a classic cool-climate Pinot Noir, that’s velvety, fruity and soft in your mouth, this is for you! I enjoyed this wine by the glass, at the rooftop at The Archer in Napa, CA. You may also purchase this wine online here.
Wine Rating: 94 Points
*Any wines rated 90 points or more, I recommend. Wines rated 89 points or below means it’s an acceptable wine, but I wouldn’t spend your money on it.*
